We are looking for a finance leader excited to drive critical strategic decisions while also being capable of diving into the tiniest detail of finance and accounting. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the full finance function at OurFamilyWizard. You will bring a quantitative, data-driven, and objective mindset to solving problems and pushing OurFamilyWizard to be the best it can be, while also establishing the systems & processes required for a world class finance function. Your outstanding communication and collaboration skills will allow you to influence key decisions to accelerate growth and profitability. You will report to the CEO and be a key partner to the full executive team.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage all finance functions including accounting, planning, budgeting, reporting, and analysis
  • Own budgeting and planning, driving alignment on resource and investment allocation with clear plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals
  • Work cross-functionally with the executive team and other business leaders to identify and analyze growth and investment opportunities
  • Partner with the CEO to ensure timely reporting of business performance to management and investors
  • Establish and report on KPIs to track business health and performance
  • Perform analyses that drive overall strategic direction and prioritization
  • Oversee and review monthly, quarterly and annual close process
  • Establish and execute on financial reporting structure for investors and creditors
  • Identify, assess, and lead corporate development opportunities
  • Hire a team across accounting & strategic finance and analytics focus areas

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience across corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or management consulting
  • Experience with subscription software (B2B or B2C)
  • Experience managing and mentoring highly analytic and motivated professionals
  • Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Audit or accounting experience, or strong desire to manage world class professionals in this space
  • A strong desire to find the best answer for our customers and our business vs. be “right”
  • Focus on outcomes, not outputs
  • Low ego, high integrity

Nice to have

  • Experience with, or desire to learn SQL
  • Tableau experience
  • Experience in legal technology or legal profession in some way
